Dar Roumana was designed to feel more like a home than a hotel. We invite guests to lounge in comfortable sitting rooms, relax in the sun on the spacious roof terrace, and take a glass of tea in the library. The library offers a wide selection of books (English, French, and Spanish), hand-crafted game table (chess, backgammon, and cards), and board games. A cosy salon with a video and DVD collection of over 100 titles is tucked away in a quiet corner away from the guest suites.

Hammam and Massage
For centuries, visiting the hammam has been an important part of Moroccan culture and society. Neighborhood hammams provide places for families and friends to gather, share news and gossip while going through the traditional bathing rituals. We highly recommend a visit to the local hammam, and will be happy to provide you with mats, towels, and advice regarding what to take and what to expect. Entrance, exfoliating scrub (gommage) and light massage costs 40 dirhams (approx 3 euros).
Cookery Lessons
For guests wanting to learn more about Moroccan cuisine, we offer a series of cooking lessons designed to give even the most timid cooks the ability to recreate their favourite dishes at home, as well as an insight into the history and subtlety of traditional Fassi dishes. All classes are tailor-made to suit the tastes and schedules of our guests. A typical day-long cookery course would include a morning in the souk to purchase fresh fruit & vegetables and spices, 2 - 4 hours of preparation and cooking, and then a couple hours to relax and before sitting down to an evening meal of all the dishes prepared.
Transfer to Dar Roumana
We can arrange for a driver to meet guests at the airport, train station, or a mutually agreed location. Please indicate on booking if you would like to take advantage of this service.
